Macaroni Minute

From the Publisher

I hope everyone had a nice Mother's Day, whether you were the Mom or the one honoring the Mom. My kiddos are still too little to pull anything off on their own, but my husband did an awesome job this year! He surprised me with tickets to Wicked (which I highly recommend), and he and the boys made a yummy brunch and dinner so I didn't have to lift a finger. It was so nice. :o)

It seems that festival season is upon us! This weekend I'll be at Thorntonfest - please stop by and say hello to me. It's a great time for all ages! Next weekend we have all of the Memorial Day festivities - can you believe it?? Then the summer concerts and Famers' Markets start up...and before we know it we'll be complaining about how HOT it is! I love summer, so I really don't complain about the heat unless it's ridiculously hot.

Guess what - I have ONE MORE GIVEAWAY for you this week! No, wait, I actually have TWO. The first is a Triple the Fun set from Tastefully Simple. CLICK HERE to enter. The other is an RCA HD Video Camera!

In addition to those great giveaways, in this week's newsletter, you'll find:

What you need:
  • 8 eggs
  • Cooked bacon, sausage, ham or turkey
  • Broccoli
  • Shredded cheddar cheese
  • Cooking spray
  • 12 count muffin pan
Spray your muffin pans. I had some leftover bacon and broccoli so I put a little ...

Macaroni Made ~ Moon Dough

I found this recipe for moon dough/cloud dough on Pinterest! It peaked my interest so we spent an afternoon playing in it.  It's really easy to make and both of my kids had a ball playing in the stuff.

What you need:
  • 8-16 cups of flour
  • 1-2 cups of baby oil
  • plastic bin
  • toys!

What you do:

Dump the flour in your plastic bin. I used 16 cups for my 2 little ones and it was the perfect amount for 2. You could double that or triple that ...

Rather than turning to toxic bug sprays to fight against mosquito-borne viruses like West Nile and Eastern equine encephalitis (EEE), Moms everywhere can count on PIC® to help protect their families from dangerous mosquito bites with two unique products that provide maximum protection with all-natural ingredients that don’t need to be applied to skin.
